Engineering teams
Make the tools worth having.
Your team has access to AI coding tools. Getting useful results may mean changing the environment, the work practices and the way people use them. We help with all three.
01
Look at the whole path to shipping.
We start with how work moves through your team: choosing a task, understanding the code, making a change, reviewing it and getting it into use. We look for friction before deciding which tools or practices to change.
The work can include repositories, documentation, development environments, tests, review practices and custom tools. Teaching happens alongside implementation so the new approach has somewhere practical to live.
02
People need room to learn.
Changing how you work can challenge habits that have served you well for years. We work with engineers on concrete tasks, make time for their concerns and help them build confidence through practice.
Useful skepticism belongs in the process. We want the team to be able to explain where a tool helps, where it fails and how they check its output.
03
Agree what improvement means.
We choose measures with you before a pilot. Depending on the problem, they might include time to deliver an accepted change, review effort, rework, defects or time lost to the development environment.
Tool usage, code volume and the number of generated changes are not substitutes for that discussion. The engagement should be evaluated against the work your business needs done.

What this can look like
At Rankpay, we helped the team change its approach to AI-assisted development through hands-on education, with support for the people making the change.
